Nikolai Vladimirovich Ekk (Russian: Николай Владимирович Экк), real name Ivakin (Russian: Ивакин) (14 June 1902 – 14 July 1976), was a Soviet film director and screenwriter.
Born in Riga, he studied acting and directing in the theater of Vsevolod Meyerhold. He directed 4 films between 1931 and 1941, among which the first Soviet sound film Road to Life.
